About the Winery
Located in the Saumurois region, at the foot of the limestone hill covered with vines at Puy-Notre-Dame, this estate counts 38 hectares. Christian Cousin crafts his wines in a gallery of more than 600 meters dug into the tuffeau during the Middle Ages and now used as a cellar. The estate produces wines from the Saumur appellation, including reds from Cabernet Franc and whites from Chenin Blanc. The unique troglodyte cellars provide ideal conditions for aging wines, with constant temperature and humidity throughout the year.
“A 38-hectare estate in the Saumurois with 600 meters of troglodyte cellars carved into the tuffeau, producing Saumur wines.”
