About the Winery

Pierre Rougon took over in 1997 a domaine that has been in his family since 1956. The 30-hectare vineyard is spread over terraces situated between 150 and 300 meters altitude, at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, in the Beaumes-de-Venise appellation. The estate produces red wines from Grenache and Syrah, as well as the famous Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise, a sweet fortified white wine made from Muscat à Petits Grains. The terroir's clay-limestone soils and exceptional sun exposure give the wines remarkable concentration and elegance.
