Domaine la Toupie

About the Winery

Domaine La Toupie was created by Jérôme Collas in 2012 after twenty years spent in the wine administration industry. The estate extends over 12 hectares in the Maury valley, at the frontier between Languedoc and Roussillon, in the foothills of the Pyrenees. The name 'La Toupie' (spinning top) was chosen for the family heirloom passed down through generations and for the balanced style of the wines. The vineyards feature old vines of over 50 years, planted on schist soils with yields kept low (less than 20hl/ha). The domaine produces Maury Sec wines with a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, vinified in stainless steel tanks. The estate also operates as a bed and breakfast, offering three comfortable rooms and wine tastings upon arrival.
