Domaine Vayssette
2738, chem. des Crêtes, 81600 Gaillac, France
About the Winery
Florentin and Andrée Vayssette, the grandparents, settled in 1930 on the Chemin des Crêtes de Gaillac. Jacques, their son, and Maryse followed. Then their grandson Patrice and his wife Nathalie joined them to operate the 27 hectares of vines, labeled High Environmental Value. A safe bet of the appellation, the family works with all the traditional Gaillac grape varieties: Braucol, Cabernet, Duras, Gamay, Loin de l'Oeil, Mauzac, Merlot, Muscadelle, Sauvignon, and Syrah. The estate has been HVE certified since 2016.
“Three generations of family winemaking on the Gaillac hills since 1930, with 27 HVE-certified hectares producing wines from indigenous varieties.”
