About the Winery
Roselyne and Jean-Marc Balaran established themselves in 1979 at Domaine d'Escausses, a safe bet of the Gaillacois. Their daughter Aurélie joined them in 2007, acquired parcels from Château Larroze, and created Château l'Enclos des Roses. She now manages a total of 50 hectares, in organic conversion. The family works two terroirs: Jean-Marc at Sainte-Croix and Aurélie at Cahuzac-sur-Vère, producing Gaillac AOC wines from indigenous varieties including Mauzac, Loin de l'Oeil, Duras, Braucol, and Syrah.
“A family estate managing 50 hectares across two Gaillac terroirs under Jean-Marc and Aurélie Balaran, in organic conversion since 2007.”
