Domaine de la Plaigne
About the Winery
Victorien, who represents the 5th generation on the operation, joined in 2014 his parents, Gilles and Cécile Roux, established since 1984. The latter, after enlarging the vineyard (15 hectares today, certified organic since the 2023 vintage), are renewing it by introducing Chardonnay and spacing out the plantings. The estate produces wines from Régnié, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Beaujolais-Villages, and Beaujolais appellations. The family estate has carried on a winemaking tradition passed down through five generations, combining respect for the terroir, artisanal know-how, and environmental commitment, achieving HVE certification in 2018 and organic certification in 2023.
“A five-generation family estate in Régnié-Durette with 15 organic hectares producing Beaujolais crus including Morgon and Moulin-à-Vent.”
