About the Winery

Originally a winegrower-merchant house founded in 1803. It began bottling in the early 1930s with Martin Schaetzel. His nephew Jean, an oenologist, took over the business in 1979 and converted his own vines to biodynamics (1997). He sold it in 2015 to industrialist Marc Rinaldi, who renamed it, built new cellars between Kientzheim and Kaysersberg, acquired terroirs in grands crus, and entrusted Samuel Tottoli with the management of the estates in 2017. Today, 11 hectares in biodynamics (certified in 2018), including 7 hectares in Grand Cru Schlossberg and 3 hectares in Grand Cru Brand.

A historic Alsatian estate originally founded in 1803, now 11 biodynamic hectares including Grand Crus Schlossberg and Brand under Marc Rinaldi and Samuel Tottoli.
