About the Winery

The Baur family has been established in Eguisheim since the 18th century. Charles Baur began bottling in 1948, his son Armand, an oenologist, took over in 1980, joined in 2010 by Arnaud, an agricultural engineer. The winegrowers began the organic conversion of the 19-hectare vineyard in 2011, with parcels in three grands crus; they also operate 1 hectare of orchard for eau-de-vie. The estate produces Alsace AOC, Grand Cru (Eichberg, Pfersigberg, Brand), and Crémant d'Alsace wines.
