Château de la Jaubertie

200, allée de la Jaubertie, 24560 Colombier, France

About the Winery

Taking its name from a stream, this estate is commanded by a Directoire-style château, which succeeded a hunting pavilion built by Henri IV on the site of a 12th-century building. Nick Ryman, a British businessman, bought the Jaubertie in 1973. His son Hugh left the vineyards of Australia more than 30 years ago to take over the property, still in the family. The vineyard, organic since 2008, covers 45 hectares. A safe bet of the Bergerac region, the estate produces Bergerac, Côtes de Bergerac, and Monbazillac wines.

A historic Directoire-style château estate in Bergerac with 45 organic hectares since 2008, managed by the Ryman family since 1973.
