About the Winery

Domaine Christian Dock is a family estate in Heiligenstein, Alsace, with a winemaking tradition passed down from father to son since 1870. Christian Dock joined his father in 1980 and now manages the estate of approximately 10-13 hectares with his wife Nathalie, who handles administrative tasks and customer reception. Their children Vincent and Nadia have also joined the business. The estate is particularly renowned for its Klevener de Heiligenstein, the specialty of the property, made from the Savagnin Rose grape, a close relative of Gewurztraminer. The domaine produces wines from all seven Alsace grape varieties, as well as Crémant d'Alsace and eaux-de-vie from their orchards. The estate has won numerous awards, including the prestigious 'Très Grandes Vignes de France' prize in 1998 and three excellence prizes at the Concours Général de Paris in 2003, 2010, and 2012. The wines are known for their quality, tradition, and authentic expression of the Heiligenstein terroir at the foot of Mont Sainte-Odile.
