Château des Correaux
About the Winery
Château des Correaux is a historic family wine estate in Leynes, in southern Burgundy, created in 1803. The estate is set in a typical Louis XIV château and has been owned by the Bernard family for eight generations. Germain Bernard is the current owner and eighth-generation winemaker, who took over from his father Jean. The estate covers approximately 30 hectares of vineyards, producing wines from Saint-Véran, Mâcon-Villages, Bourgogne Blanc, Pouilly-Fuissé, and Crémant de Bourgogne appellations. The estate focuses primarily on white wines from Chardonnay, though they also produce some red wines. The wines are regularly recognized with high accolades from the Guide Hachette, often receiving two or three stars and Coup de Cœur awards. The estate's Saint-Véran wines are particularly celebrated for their quality and consistency.
