Jean Baronnat
About the Winery
Domaine Jean Baronnat is a historic family estate in Gleizé, in the Beaujolais region north of Lyon, founded in 1920 by Eugène Baronnat. The estate is now led by Jean-Jacques Baronnat, the grandson of the founder, who has been at the helm since 1985. The domaine is one of the last independent family businesses in Beaujolais, producing wines from appellations including Beaujolais, Beaujolais-Villages, Brouilly, and Beaujolais Blanc. The estate's motto is 'Respect for the Wine,' and Jean-Jacques personally selects and blends all the wines. The domaine has also expanded its range to include wines from the Mediterranean coast. The wines are known for their typicity, fruit expression, and excellent value, regularly receiving awards in the Guide Hachette and other wine competitions.
