About the Winery
Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné is one of the most iconic and historic wine producers in the Rhône Valley, founded in 1834 in Tain-l'Hermitage. The estate is renowned for its Hermitage La Chapelle, one of the greatest wines of the Rhône, produced from Syrah grapes grown on the prestigious Hermitage hill. The property spans over 200 hectares across the northern and southern Rhône, including vineyards in Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, and Côtes du Rhône. The estate produces both red and white wines, with white Hermitage from Marsanne and Roussanne being equally celebrated. The estate combines traditional expertise with modern techniques, and its wines are known for their exceptional quality, complexity, and aging potential. The estate is part of the Frey family group, which also owns Château La Lagune in Bordeaux.
