Cave de l' Ormarine
About the Winery
The Cave de l'Ormarine is a cooperative cellar in Mèze, in the Languedoc region on the shores of the Étang de Thau. The cooperative was founded in 1955 and has become one of the leading producers of Picpoul de Pinet, the famous white wine of the region made from the Piquepoul grape. The cooperative unites hundreds of winegrowers and produces a wide range of wines including Picpoul de Pinet, Grès de Montpellier, and other Languedoc appellations. The wines are known for their freshness and value, with Picpoul de Pinet being particularly prized as an accompaniment to the oysters and seafood from the nearby Étang de Thau.
