About the Winery

The Cave des Vins de Sancerre is a cooperative cellar founded in 1961, uniting winegrowers from the Sancerre appellation in the Loire Valley. The cooperative represents a significant portion of Sancerre production, with vineyards planted on the three main soil types of the appellation: Kimmeridgian marl (white soils), flint (Caillottes), and clay-limestone (Terres Blanches). The cooperative produces white wines from Sauvignon Blanc and red and Rose wines from Pinot Noir. The Cave des Vins de Sancerre is known for the consistent quality of its wines and its ability to showcase the diversity of Sancerre terroirs.
