Sarl les domaines de la Mette
About the Winery
The Domaines de la Mette is a historic estate in Portets, Bordeaux, with origins dating back to the 19th century when the 3rd Count Ravez rebuilt Château Millet. The estate was acquired by the Solorzano family, of Spanish origin from Rioja, in 1962. Today, the SARL Les Domaines de la Mette manages 82 hectares across four properties, producing wines in the Graves and Bordeaux Supérieur appellations. The portfolio includes Château Millet, Château Prieuré-Les-Tours, Château Martin, Château Claron (all in Graves), and Château Clos Renon and Château Clos de l'Abbaye (Bordeaux Supérieur). The estates are certified HVE3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale niveau 3). The terroir is known for its clay-limestone soils, considered among the best of the Graves appellation.
