Champagne paul Bara

4, rue Yvonnet, 51150 Bouzy, France

About the Winery

The Bara family history dates to the 1600s, but the house was established in Bouzy in 1833 by Auguste François Bara, a cooper. Today, Chantal Bara (6th generation) presides over the 11-hectare estate, with Stéphanie Ducloux as Director since 2021 and Grégory Baert as cellar master. The vineyard is planted primarily with Pinot Noir (9.5 ha) and Chardonnay (1.5 ha), all on 100% Grand Cru terroir. The wines undergo no malolactic fermentation, preserving their aging potential. Paul Bara was the first to export Champagne to the United States in 1975.

Six generations of Champagne making in Bouzy Grand Cru since 1833, with 11 hectares of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
