About the Winery
Maison Louis Max was founded in 1859 in Nuits-Saint-Georges by Evgueni Louis Max, son of a Georgian wine producer. The house owns vineyards across Burgundy, including Clos la Marche in Mercurey and properties in the South of France. Under the direction of renowned winemaker David Duband since 2013, the estate produces wines from regional appellations to Grand Cru, as well as Beaujolais. The vineyards are certified organic, and the historic cellars on Rue de Chaux are still in use today.
“A historic Burgundy house founded in 1859, producing organic wines from regional appellations to Grand Cru.”
