About the Winery
David Moreau took over the family estate from his grandparents Simone and Jean Moreau in 2013, renaming it Domaine de l'Aste after the thyrsus (the staff of Bacchus), which also corresponds to the etymological origin of the lieu-dit Les Hâtes. The 9-hectare estate in Santenay produces Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines, including Santenay 1er Cru. David combines classical Burgundian values with modern organic approaches.
“A 9-hectare estate in Santenay named after Bacchus's staff, producing organic Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.”
