Château du Carillon

About the Winery

Owned by the Taillan group, Château du Carillon is a 7-hectare organic estate in the Fronsac appellation. The vineyard extends over the south-facing hillsides of Saillans along the Isle River. The estate is planted primarily with Merlot (95%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) on clay-limestone soils. The wines of Fronsac were favorites of the court at Versailles in the 18th century, and the estate continues this tradition of producing full-bodied, complex wines with aging potential.
