Sa château Peyros

9, chem. du Château, 64350 Corbère-Abères, France

About the Winery

Château Peyros is an ancient estate whose origins date back to the 17th century, with a name meaning 'stony terrain' in Gascon. Since 1999, it has belonged to the Lesgourgues family, who also own properties in Bas-Armagnac and Graves. Today, Arnaud Lesgourgues represents the third generation managing the 20-hectare vineyard, which is planted on a unique south-facing terroir of pebbles and clay called 'pouzzolanes.' Certified HVE and Terra Vitis, the estate is known as 'the most Bordelais cru of Madiran' for the finesse of its wines.

A 17th-century estate with 20 hectares on a unique south-facing terroir, the southernmost vineyard in Madiran AOC.
