About the Winery
The Butterlin family has been viticulturists for many generations, beginning bottling in 1947. Jean Butterlin, joined by his son Thomas, has directed the estate since 1980 from Wettolsheim, 5 km from Colmar. The 8-hectare vineyard is spread across some 30 parcels in five different communes, including prestigious Grand Cru Steingrubler holdings. The estate produces all seven Alsace grape varieties with a focus on terroir expression and traditional winemaking.
“A multi-generational Alsace estate with 8 hectares across 30 parcels, including Grand Cru Steingrubler.”
