About the Winery

The Gonnet family has been rooted in Bédarrides near Châteauneuf-du-Pape since the 16th century. Etienne Gonnet founded the estate in 1950, naming it after a local spring, Fontaine de Michelle. Today, the third generation—Bertrand and Guillaume Gonnet—manages the 27-hectare estate, which has been certified organic. In 2002, the family expanded with Domaine Font du Vent in Domazan, adding 20 hectares of Côtes du Rhône. The estate produces red and white Châteauneuf-du-Pape from diverse terroirs including the famous La Crau plateau.
