About the Winery

Founded in 1933 by Louis Gambert de Loche, Cave de Tain is a leading cooperative winery in the northern Rhône Valley. The cave brings together over 310 member growers and vinifies grapes from more than 1,000 hectares, producing approximately 50% of the appellations in the northern Rhône. The cooperative also owns 26 hectares directly, including 21 hectares in the prestigious Hermitage appellation. Certified organic, Cave de Tain invested in state-of-the-art production facilities in 2014 that enable precise parcel selections and premium wine production. The cave produces wines across five major crus: Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas, and Saint-Péray.
