About the Winery
The Dietrich family has been cultivating vines since 1620 in the heart of Alsace. In the early 1960s, Laurent Dietrich transitioned from polyculture to dedicated viticulture and bottle sales. Today, Michel and Alexis Dietrich oversee 20 hectares of certified organic vineyards around the fortified town of Dambach-la-Ville and neighboring villages including Dieffenthal, Itterswiller, Reichsfeld, and Albé. The estate produces wines from all seven Alsace grape varieties, Crémant d'Alsace, and Grand Cru Frankstein wines, with some parcels still plowed using a Comtoise draft horse.
“Seven generations of winemaking since 1620, cultivating 20 hectares of organic vineyards in the heart of Alsace.”
