Domaine la Tour Vieille
About the Winery
Domaine la Tour Vieille is a wine estate in Collioure, on the Côte Vermeille in southern France near the Spanish border. The estate was created in 1982 by Vincent Cantié, an agricultural engineer, to preserve the spectacular terraced vineyards of the region. Today, the estate spans 12.5 hectares of vines planted on steep schist terraces that plunge toward the Mediterranean Sea. The domaine produces wines under the Collioure and Banyuls appellations, crafting red, white, Rose, and fortified wines from varieties including Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc, and Roussanne. The vineyard work is entirely manual due to the steep terrain. The estate is certified HVE (High Environmental Value) and Vignobles et Découvertes.
“An estate crafting Collioure and Banyuls wines from steep Mediterranean terraces since 1982.”
