Domaine Brocourt
About the Winery
Domaine Brocourt is a family estate in Rivière, in the Chinon appellation of the Loire Valley. Philippe Brocourt took over the estate in 1986 at the age of 21 and now manages 32-33 hectares of vines spread across five communes: Rivière, Chinon, Ligré, La Roche-Clermault, and Beaumont-en-Véron. This diversity of terroirs allows the estate to produce a range of Chinon wines that showcase the appellation's variety. The domaine produces wines exclusively from Cabernet Franc, crafting everything from light, fruity wines for early drinking to structured, tannic wines that benefit from 10-15 years of aging. The estate practices rigorous sustainable agriculture and has done so for over 20 years, though they have chosen not to pursue official certification.
“A second-generation estate with 33 hectares across five communes, crafting a full range of Chinon Cabernet Franc wines.”
