Domaine Menand
About the Winery
Domaine Menand is a family estate in Mercurey, in the Côte Chalonnaise region of Burgundy. The first vines of the domaine were planted in 1782, and the estate has been passed down through seven generations. Since 2006, Philippe and Fabienne Menand have managed the estate, converting entirely to organic agriculture. The domaine spans 7 hectares including parcels in some of Mercurey's finest Premier Cru vineyards, notably the walled monopole Clos des Combins, planted with both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Philippe is known as a farmer at heart, spending most of his time in the vineyards. The estate produces around 30,000 bottles annually of red and white Burgundy that express the unique terroir of each parcel.
“A seven-generation organic estate in Mercurey with vines dating back to 1782 and the monopole Clos des Combins.”
