About the Winery

Domaine Jeannin-Naltet is a historic family estate in Mercurey, in the Côte Chalonnaise region of Burgundy. The family has been producing wine since 1858, and the estate is now in its sixth generation. In 2013, Benoît Eschard took over the estate from his wife's uncle, bringing his engineering background and meticulous approach to winemaking. The estate spans 9 hectares of vines, including 7 hectares of Mercurey Premier Cru across three climats: Les Naugues, Le Clos l'Evêque, and the monopole Clos des Grands Voyens (5 hectares). The domaine produces around 45,000 bottles annually from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Aligoté. Benoît has transformed the estate by eliminating herbicides, controlling yields, and vinifying each parcel separately. The estate also produces traditional Burgundy spirits: Ratafia, Marc, and Fine de Bourgogne.
