Abbaye de Santenay is a wine estate in Santenay, at the southern end of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. Santenay is known for producing both red wines from Pinot Noir and white wines from Chardonnay. The village is named after an ancient abbey that once owned extensive vineyards in the area. The estate produces wines under several appellations including Santenay Village and Santenay Premier Cru from vineyards such as Clos de la Comme. The wines are crafted using traditional Burgundian methods, with the reds showing characteristic notes of cherry, raspberry, and earthy undertones, while the whites display citrus, white flower, and mineral notes. The domaine is managed with a focus on sustainable viticulture.
