About the Winery

Drouet is a family estate in Salles-d'Angles, in the Cognac region of southwestern France. The Drouet family produces both Cognac and Pineau des Charentes, the region's traditional fortified aperitif wine. The estate offers tours of their distillery and tastings in their cellar, providing visitors with an authentic insight into the production of these iconic Charentais spirits. The Cognac appellation is defined by its chalky soils, maritime climate, and the double distillation process in copper pot stills that creates the renowned eau-de-vie. The family's Pineau des Charentes is made by blending freshly pressed grape juice with young Cognac, then aging the blend in oak barrels.
