Domaine de la Rectorie
About the Winery
Domaine de la Rectorie is a family estate in Banyuls-sur-Mer, on the Vermillion Coast (Côte Vermeille) in southern France near the Spanish border. The estate was founded in 1987 by Thierry Parcé and is now run by his sons Jean-Emmanuel and Jean-Marc. The domaine produces wines under the Banyuls, Collioure, and Côtes du Roussillon appellations. The vineyards are planted on steep, terraced slopes of schist that plunge down to the Mediterranean Sea, creating a dramatic and challenging landscape for viticulture. The estate is renowned for its Banyuls fortified wines, made from Grenache Noir using mutage sur grain (fortification during fermentation), as well as its expressive Collioure reds, whites, and Roses.
“A family estate crafting Banyuls fortified wines and Collioure wines on steep Mediterranean terraces.”
