Benoit Grisard is a wine producer in Fréterive, in the Savoie region of the French Alps. The Savoie is a mountainous wine region known for its crisp, mineral white wines made from indigenous grape varieties such as Jacquère, Roussette (Altesse), and Bergeron (Roussanne). The vineyards are planted on steep slopes at high altitude, benefiting from the alpine climate and the complex geology of the region including limestone, marl, and glacial deposits. Benoit Grisard produces wines that reflect the freshness and purity of this unique alpine terroir, with the whites showing delicate floral aromas and vibrant acidity.
