About the Winery

Domaine Yann Chave was created in 1969 by Bernard and Nicole Chave. Their son Yann took over in 1996, restructured and expanded the estate to 20 hectares, all farmed organically (certified since 2007). The estate now covers 21.5 hectares with an average vine age of 45 years. Yann has become one of the leading figures of Crozes-Hermitage and has recently been joined by his daughter Daphné. The estate produces Crozes-Hermitage red and white, Saint-Joseph, and a tiny parcel of Hermitage from Syrah, Marsanne and Roussanne. Yann is co-president of the AOC Crozes-Hermitage appellation.
