About the Winery

Château Altimar is the anagram of oenologist Martial Junquas, who comes from a family of Néac winemakers. He created this estate in 2009: 1.5 hectares in AOC Pomerol and 4.7 hectares in Lalande-de-Pomerol. Located in the Libourne region on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, the estate produces wines from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon on the characteristic clay-gravel soils of the Pomerol plateau and its surrounding areas.
