About the Winery

From old winemaking stock, Charles Fahrer launched his label in 1965 and passed his estate to his son in 1988. Today, Thierry and Nathalie Fahrer cultivate more than 9 hectares of vines spread across about forty parcels below the Haut-Kœnigsbourg castle, including parcels in the Grand Cru Praelatenberg. The estate produces classic Alsace wines from the region's noble grape varieties, with the distinctive character of the granite and volcanic soils of this area near Saint-Hippolyte.
