Domaine Fradon

8, le Château, 17500 Réaux-sur-Trèfle, France

About the Winery

Domaine Fradon has been bottling Pineau des Charentes since 1933, when their ancestor was one of the first to commercialise this local aperitif. Damien Fradon took over from his father Michel in 2008 at the head of this 40-hectare estate in Petite Champagne, near Jonzac. The domain's philosophy prioritises quality over quantity: they only sell aged Pineau (minimum 5 years of wood ageing) and very old Cognac qualities. Certified HVE and following agroecological practices, they produce Pineau (white, Rose, old), Cognac (VS, VSOP, Vieille Réserve, XO) and Vin de Pays Charentais. They have also held a summer presence on the Île de Ré since 1999, selling at the market in Loix in July and August.

A family estate since 1933 in Petite Champagne, specialising in aged Pineau des Charentes and Cognac from 40 hectares.
