Rodolphe Demougeot
About the Winery
Domaine Rodolphe Demougeot, established in Meursault since 1992, covers almost 9 hectares across the Côte de Beaune. Rodolphe began with 3 hectares in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, Pommard and Beaune, and has expanded over the years into Savigny-lès-Beaune, Monthelie and Meursault. A discreet winegrower who listens to his plots, Demougeot practices organic farming (abandoning synthetic treatments since the mid-2000s) and follows the lunar cycle for vineyard and cellar work. His vineyards are impressively farmed with as much life as any organic or biodynamic vineyard, and he uses a horse to plough some of his top sites like Pommard 1er Cru Les Charmots. The domain produces village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations including Meursault, Pommard, Beaune, Auxey-Duresses, Savigny-lès-Beaune and Monthelie.
“An organic-focused estate in Meursault with nearly 9 hectares across the Côte de Beaune, known for elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines.”
