About the Winery
EARL Chapon is a wine estate in Ozillac, in the Charentes region of southwestern France. The Charentes region is primarily known for Cognac production, but it also produces wines including Charentais wines and Pineau des Charentes (a fortified aperitif wine). The region's mild maritime climate and limestone soils create conditions suitable for producing Ugni Blanc, Colombard, and other varieties used for both table wines and distillation.
“A producer in the Charentes region crafting wines and possibly Pineau des Charentes from local varieties.”
