About the Winery

Ligaud et Fils is a wine producer in Distre, in the Saumur region of the Loire Valley. The Loire Valley is known for its diverse wine styles, from sparkling Crémant de Loire to red wines from Cabernet Franc and white wines from Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. The Saumur area is particularly renowned for its sparkling wines made by traditional method, as well as still red and white wines. The region's chalky tuffeau soils give the wines their distinctive mineral character.
