Champagne Barbier-Louvet

8 Rue de Louvois, 51150 Tauxieres-Mutry, France

About the Winery

Champagne Barbier-Louvet is a family-owned Champagne house established in 1835, now run by the 6th generation. Located in Tauxières-Mutry, a Premier Cru village on the southern slope of the Montagne de Reims in the Côte des Noirs, the estate spans 6.85 hectares across 9 municipalities including Bouzy Grand Cru. They produce exclusively from their own vineyards, growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Their champagnes are crafted according to traditional methods, with each step performed by hand from pruning to bottling. The wines undergo a minimum of three years of cellar ageing before release. They are members of the Vignerons Indépendants (Independent Winegrowers) association, guaranteeing the quality and traceability of their production.
