Domaine de la Vrillonnière
About the Winery
Domaine de la Vrillonnière is a family winery located in Le Landreau in the Muscadet Côtes de Grandlieu appellation of the Loire Valley. The estate produces wines from the Melon de Bourgogne grape variety, grown on the terroirs around the Lac de Grandlieu, France's largest natural lake. The proximity of the lake creates a unique microclimate that gives the wines their distinctive freshness and character. The domaine practices sustainable viticulture and traditional winemaking methods, including extended lees aging (sur lie) which adds complexity and texture to the wines. The estate represents the evolving quality of Muscadet, producing wines of real character and aging potential.
“A Muscadet estate near Lac de Grandlieu producing fresh, complex Melon de Bourgogne wines from a unique lakeside terroir.”
