About the Winery
Domaine des Foudres is a winery located in Vaux-en-Beaujolais in the northern Beaujolais region near the town of Gleizé. The estate produces wines from the Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages appellations, working exclusively with Gamay. The vineyards are planted on the granite and schist soils that characterize the northern Beaujolais, giving the wines their structure and mineral character. The domaine takes its name from the large oak foudres (vats) traditionally used for aging Beaujolais wines. The estate represents the authentic tradition of Beaujolais winemaking, producing fruity, approachable wines that capture the essence of the Gamay grape.
“A Beaujolais estate in Vaux-en-Beaujolais producing Gamay wines aged in traditional oak foudres.”
