About the Winery

Domaine Daridan is a family winery located in Cour-Cheverny, a unique appellation in the Loire Valley dedicated exclusively to wines made from the rare Romorantin grape variety. The Cour-Cheverny AOC is one of the smallest and most specialized appellations in France, created in 1993 to protect the Romorantin, a grape introduced to the region by King Francis I in the 16th century. The Daridan family has been cultivating Romorantin for generations, producing crisp, mineral-driven white wines with good acidity and aging potential. The vineyards are planted on the sandy, silica-rich soils of the Sologne region, which give the wines their distinctive character.
