Château Tour des Termes is an estate located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Médoc in Bordeaux. The château takes its name from a historic tower (tour) on the property. The estate produces structured, long-lived red wines from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The vineyards are planted on the gravelly soils typical of Saint-Estèphe, which sit atop a clay subsoil that provides water retention and contributes to the power and density of the wines. Saint-Estèphe is known for producing the most structured and tannic wines of the Médoc, and Tour des Termes exemplifies this style. The estate offers excellent value for the appellation.
