Paul Doucet
About the Winery
Paul Doucet is a wine producer located in Sury-en-Vaux, a small village in the Sancerre appellation of the Loire Valley. The estate produces Sancerre wines from Sauvignon Blanc for whites and Pinot Noir for reds and Roses. The vineyards are planted on the three main soil types of Sancerre: the chalky limestone terres blanches, the gravelly caillottes, and the flint-rich silex soils. Each soil type contributes a different character to the wines, from the mineral, age-worthy wines of the terres blanches to the smoky, aromatic wines of the silex soils. Paul Doucet represents the small, family producers that make Sancerre one of the world's most celebrated white wine appellations.
“A Sancerre producer crafting Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from the diverse soils of Sury-en-Vaux.”
