Château les Hauts de Caillevel is an estate located in Pomport in the Bergerac region of southwestern France. The château produces wines from the Monbazillac and Bergerac appellations, working with traditional southwestern grape varieties including Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate is particularly known for its Monbazillac, a sweet white wine produced from botrytized grapes similar to Sauternes. The vineyards benefit from the region's misty mornings and sunny afternoons, which promote the development of noble rot. The estate offers a range of wines from dry whites to sweet dessert wines and structured reds.
