About the Winery
Domaine de la Croix Mulins is a winery located in the Morgon appellation of Beaujolais. The estate produces wines from the Gamay grape variety, which is the sole red grape permitted in Beaujolais. Morgon is one of the ten Crus of Beaujolais, known for producing wines with greater structure and aging potential than standard Beaujolais. The vineyards are planted on the decomposed granite and schist soils of the Côte du Py, which give Morgon wines their distinctive character. The domaine practices traditional Beaujolais winemaking methods, creating wines that express the unique terroir of this prestigious Cru.
“A Beaujolais estate in Morgon producing structured Gamay wines from decomposed granite soils.”
