Champagne Ruinart is the oldest established Champagne house, founded in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart in Reims. The house has a long and storied history, with deep connections to the artistic and cultural heritage of Champagne. Ruinart is particularly known for its Blanc de Blancs (100% Chardonnay), which has become the house's signature style, showcasing the elegance and purity of the Côte des Blancs terroir. The house owns extensive chalk cellars (crayères) in Reims, which are classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. These deep chalk quarries, dating back to Gallo-Roman times, provide ideal conditions for aging champagne. Ruinart is part of the LVMH group and continues to be recognized for its elegant, refined champagnes and its commitment to art and culture.
