About the Winery
Château de Belaygues was acquired in 2001 by Guillaume Veyrac, son of an Aveyron farmer, located 10 km south of Montauban. He equipped the property with a functional winery and tasting room. The 13-hectare vineyard covers the first terrace of the Tarn River, producing AOP Fronton (red and Rose) and IGP Comté Tolosan (white) wines. Guillaume and his wife Séverine produce distinctive wines from the local Négrette grape variety, known for its aromatic, peppery character. The estate also has a small free-range laying hen operation since October 2025.
“A 13-hectare estate near Montauban producing Fronton wines from the Négrette grape since 2001.”
